Agriculture, Executive Yuan

This
Branch was formerly known as “Tainan Office, Food Bureau of Taiwan
Province” subordinate to Food Bureau of Taiwan Province Government. The

organizational reforms, it became subject to the Provincial Government.

marketing of food grains. To handle these responsibilities, this Branch
established the foods section and sub-sections, and expanded it’s
internal functions in August 1953 by reforming the two sections into
five sections and two offices. Accordingly, the business of the
original foods section was included into that of the 5th section.

Province” and “Chiayi and Yunlin Branches, Tainan Administration, Food
Bureau of Taiwan Province” and also established a 6th
section in charge of the materials, facilities and supplies of pesticide
related to the increase in production of foods.

was reformed into “Tainan Administration, Food Bureau of Taiwan Province
Government” and “Chiayi and Yunlin Branches, Tainan
Administration, Food Bureau of Taiwan Province Government”.
